Early life

Janelle S. Schriever was born on May 6, 1969 to Robert Brown and Sheryl Usher. She has at least one sister. Her father died in 1972, when she was only three years old.

At some point while she was still a child, her mother married Merlin Fryer.

Her mother is now married to Kody's father Winn Brown, making him both her step-father and father-in-law.

Janelle was born in a long line of LDS Mormons, and was raised in this belief system.

She attended Bountiful High School.

Personal life

Marriage to Adam Barber

Janelle married Adam Barber in Salt Lake City, Uth, in December of 1988. They divorced for unknown reasons in 1990.

Marriage to Kody Brown

Janelle was introduced to Kody Brown by her first husband's sister Meri, and their friendship grew to a place where it was equal to Janelle's friendship with Meri. The two were spiritually married on January 20, 1993.

Children

The couple has six children, sons Logan Taylor, Hunter Elias, Robert Garrison and Gabriel and daughters Madison Rose and Savanah.

Janelle and Kody's daughter Madison married Caleb Brush on June 4, 2016. They have one son, Axel James Brush.

Their son Logan got engaged to Michelle Petty on September 15, 2017.

Sisterwives

Kody was legally married to Meri Barber on April 21, 1990. They got divorced in September, 2014, but remain spiritually married.

Kody spiritually married Christine Allred on March 24, 1994.

Kody spiritually married Robyn Sullivan on May 22, 2010. They were legally married in December, 2014, in order for Kody to adopt Robyn's three children.
